Our Approach

We hope by visiting our website you can feel confident of our building expertise.

Our Portfolio shows you some of the work we have done and reassures you of our standard of work and our commitment to fulfilling our company ethos.

Our ApproachWorking alongside our industry partners, we would welcome the opportunity of working with you.

If you would like to work with us – and benefit from any of our services – the best thing to do is to arrange a site visit with us.

Organising a Site-Visit

First meeting with clientsYou can do this by calling us today on (01452) 731426 or email us at [email protected] and we can arrange a time to suit you.

What happens next?

One of the Buildex Directors will meet you on–site, and will talk about what you want to achieve from your project.

This is an entirely free, no-obligation visit – and is well worth arranging, as the expertise and guidance you will receive from us, will help you decide on how best to progress with your building project.

How long will the first meeting take?

Depending on the size of property and the scale of the project, and because we like to listen to your plans in detail; this visit will take at least an hour.

Getting a Quote

Getting a quoteOnce the site-visit has taken place and you are still keen for Buildex to be your chosen construction company, we will provide you with a quotation for the work.

This quote can take some time to prepare – but we are usually able to supply a comprehensive, written quote within 2 weeks.

We take great care to quote accurately for a job, so that you can be reassured of no hidden extras once we start building.

It can be tempting to appoint a builder who offers the lowest quote, but in reality, this often turns out to be a false economy. The last thing you want to worry about is more costs later on – and the consequent delays in time and added stress.

Quality building work delivered on timeBy appointing us, you can be reassured of a realistic and achievable quote – and quality building work delivered on time.

Payment Plan

When you have chosen to appoint Buildex, we will put together a payment schedule – agreed by you. This means that you can be confident of knowing exactly what you are paying for and when.

Starting the Work

With your budget in place, we will then arrange a mutually agreeable start-time for your project – and an idea of when the work should finish, so you can make plans.

Building Schedule

Building ScheduleWhen you become a Buildex client, we work with you to plan a schedule of work.

It may be that you decide to stay in the property, that children and pets have to be considered – or that you work from home. Either way, we will plan ahead with you, to make sure that your build is the least disruptive to your busy lives.

Having worked on over 1,000 building projects, the team at Buildex are careful to listen to what our clients want … and it is often the little things that can make a difference:

Making tea

Tea TimeSome of our work can be tiring; so we always welcome a cuppa – but we don’t expect you to make it. We can provide our own kettle and mugs, and even bring our own ‘Builders’ Tea’.

Shoes off

Shoes OffWe want you to enjoy your home when we have left and not worry about dirty carpets – so as well as covering any flooring, we take our shoes off when we work in carpeted rooms.

We also provide our own portaloo – placed at a discreet distance from your home.

Cleaning Up

Tidying UpMaterials and equipment are put away at the end of the day by the Buildex team.

Snagging List

We never leave a job until a client is 100% satisfied with our service. So this can mean that we sometimes have to come back to finish off a few small jobs. By offering a 5% ‘retention fee’ on the final bill payment, you can be confident of us completing your project and delivering a finish of exceptional quality.
