Bredon Rugby Club – Building Work Under Way

Bredon Rugby Club

Buildex Construction Limited are the chosen builders for a new Clubhouse at Bredon Rugby Club in Worcestershire and work is now well under way.
The renovation work began in May 2014 to improve the changing room facilities and extend the Clubs’ social areas.

A fabulous first storey bar area with glazed doors and a balcony will give fantastic views over the pitches.

With work due for completion at the start of the autumn rugby season, the new clubhouse promises to be a spacious and stylish new facility for the local community.

Jason Hayes, Director of Buildex Construction Limited – is delighted with the progress of the build:

“We are really pleased with how the Clubhouse is looking and we hope the supporters and members of Bredon Rugby Club will enjoy using their new space”.

Funds for the new clubhouse have been generated by grants from the RFU, Sports England and fundraising activities within the Club.

Adrian Bawdon, Treasurer of Bredon Star RFC says:

“We are delighted to be working with Buildex to create our new Clubhouse. We have worked extremely hard to raise the funds to unlock this fantastic opportunity and as such were very keen to work in partnership with a competent builder; to help make our long term dream a reality. We are extremely pleased with the completed works to date and look forward to the overall project completion.”

It seems a far cry from the early days of the Club, when their changing facilities were in a horse box and then upgraded to a portacabin!
